A specimen of rough opal with some lovely colour, predominantly blues and greens. From Ethiopia, it is mounted on a base of polished black onyx. Opal is an October birthstone.
3/8 inch (0.95 cm) wide, 5/16 inch (0.8 cm) tall. I can see this working in 1:12 or 1:24 scales.
