This is actually an intricate hand made bead, of brass, with tiny chips of lapis lazuli and turquoise embedded in resin. They are made in the Himalayas, probably in Nepal rather than Tibet. I suspect that the stone chips have been somewhat dyed to enhance their colour. It is discretely glued to a gold plated brass stand.
13/16 inch (2.0 cm) wide, 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) deep and 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm) tall.
