Faberge octagonal box & Shakespeare bust, Eugene Kupjack, sold separately

$90.00

SKU: NPV4

An octagonal box from Eugene Kupjack's Fabergé line plus a tiny bust of Shakespeare from his line of figurines.

The box is made of sterling silver plated with 18 K gold (a combination known as vermeil), a genuine 2pt diamond, green enamel, and simulated tortoise shell. It is #507 in Kupjack's catalogue.  It opens to show a very clear EK mark.  The hinge on the box has some play in it which allows the lid to sit a little asymmetrically if one doesn't place it evenly, as shown in the third photo.  There is also a bit of loss of the gold plating on the inside of the lid, shown in the sixth and seventh photos.

The tiny, desk top sized bust of Shakespeare is done to resemble Blanc de Chine wares and is Kupjack catalogue number #752.  Clearly signed EK on the base.

Ink stand: 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) wide, just over 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) deep, 9/16 inch (1.4 cm) tall.

Letter opener: 1 1/8 inches (2.9 cm) long.
