Honey coloured "dog tooth" calcite, Ohio

A smaller specimen of "dog tooth" calcite on matrix from the Pugh Quarry in Ohio.  Technically this crystal shape is a scalenohedral form. This specimen is carefully mounted in a black onyx base.  The base does have a tiny flaw to the edge of it that I didn't notice until looking at the larger-than-life photos.  I think that this piece is appropriate for both 1:12 and 1:24 scales.

3/8 inch (0.95 cm) wide, just over 1/4 inch (0.6 cm) deep, just under 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) tall.
