Blue calcite, New York

A massive specimen of blue calcite from New York state.  It's a little hard to photograph well as it has a sort of waxy feel and look to it.  This piece has areas of different intensity blue, and an interesting white "rind" on part of it.  Discreetly glued to a wooden base.    

15/16 inch (2.4 cm) wide, 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) deep, 11/16 inch (1.75 cm) tall.
