Barbara Logan doll, IGMA. 1994

A stunning antique reproduction doll by Barbara Logan, who achieved IGMA Fellow status for her work.  I believe that the doll is hand carved wood with a lightly painted face.  The doll's clothing is very detailed, with lace, a pendant and ornamented belt, as well as a pair of tiny gloves and a parasol with tassel.  Her hair is delicately waved and topped with a little feathered hat.  She has a petticoat, pantaloons and little painted black boots.  The doll does actually stand on her own as shown, supported by the stiff silk fabric of her skirt.  Inside the skirt is Barbara's signature and the date, 1994.
