Atacamite, South Australia

Dark green atacamite from Mount Gunson in South Australia.  It has a kind of radiating crystal growth, I think because this is part of a nodule.  Its colour comes from its copper content.  Mounted on a custom wooden base.

1/2 inch (1.3 cm) wide, 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) deep, 7/16 inch (1.1 cm) tall.
