Amethyst stalactite slice, February birthstone

A horizontal polished slice of naturally coloured amethyst crystals atop layered brown and white matrix, from Brazil  The specimen is discreetly glued to a black plastic stand.  Amethyst is a February birthstone.

1 1/4 inches (3.2 cm) wide, 3/8 inch (0.95 cm) deep and 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) tall.
