Cowrie (cowry) shell, Maui, Hawaii. Maui fires fundraiser

A small cowrie shell that I I collected a few years ago on a west Maui shoreline during a wonderful holiday. Cowries have dramatic "toothed" openings to their shells, or you can display it to show the speckled top to the shell. I think that it is a snakehead cowry, endemic to Hawaii (found only there, nowhere else). Mounted on a custom wood base.
Just under 1 inch (2.5 cm) wide, 5/8 inch (1.6 cm) deep and 11/16 inch (1.75 cm) tall.
