Fossil mosasaur tooth, marine reptile
$14.00
SKU: 8912
A genuine tooth from a mosasaur, an extinct carnivorous marine reptile (not a dinosaur). There were many species, ranging in size from about dolphin size on up to around 30 feet (9 metres) in length. They lived in the Cretaceous Period, 145.5 million to 65.5 million years ago, the same time period as ichthyosaurs and plesiosaurs.
You can still clearly see, and feel, the sharp edges to this tooth. This specimen comes from Morocco. It is discreetly glued to a custom wood. A great piece for a 1:6 or 1:12 setting!
3/4 inch (1.9 cm) wide, 9/16 inch (1.4 cm) deep, 1 inch (2.5 cm) tall.
