A genuine fossil ammonite from Morocco, halved and polished, then mounted in a gold frame. Part of the mineralization of this specimen is hematite, which has polished up to a shiny black which then defines the lighter coloured mineralization of the shell chambers. The colours are natural. Your choice as to how you orient this piece!
