Moth & butterfly wings in sterling silver frame, reversible

Genuine iridescent moth & butterfly wings are encased in clear resin and then framed in sterling silver.  This piece has green & black Urania leilus day flying moth wing on one side and blue morpho on the reverse. The insects are sustainably raised in the Peruvian Amazon area and are collected once they have lived their natural life span. The preservation and silversmithing is also done in Peru.

As a bonus, this piece can also be suspended from a chain as a pendant, or, if you have size 4 fingers, worn as a ring.  The silver frame is stamped "925".

13/16 inch (2.0 cm) wide, 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) tall and approximately 3/4 inch (1.9 cm) deep, depending on exactly how you angle the stand.
