Spinel crystal, Myanmar. August birthstone

A tiny rich red spinel crystal from Mogok, Myanmar.  It is a perfectly shaped octahedron, just lovely. It is mounted on a polished black onyx base.  Spinel is an August birthstone.  This crystal can work in both 1:12 and 1:24 settings, as shown in the second and third photos.

1/4 inch (0.6 cm) diameter and 3/16 inch (0.5 cm) tall.
